Randle and Lethe Jackson lived and worked in Panola County, Mississippi in 1870. Both of them were born in Georgia. Randle was born in approx. 1810 and Lethe was born in approx. 1823. Randle's mother was also born in Georgia, and his father was born in Virginia, although the knowledge of their names has been lost to time. Randle and Lethe had at least 6 children - Miles, Thomas, Rob, Ginery, and Ophie. These facts were discovered through United States Census documents. We have no knowledge of our family prior to their time. Their eldest son, Miles Jackson, was the forebear to our family. Miles married Louisa (Sarah) and together they had 12 children.
Two of the Jackson sisters married two Warner brothers. Mattie Jackson married Joe Warner. Lady Dora Jackson married Ed Warner. Joe and Mattie had two children, John Henry and Fannie D. Lady Dora and Ed had four children, Willie (Jab), Mattie, Ed, and Jimmie D. Their descendants form the Warner branch of our family tree.
George Wesley Jackson was the 10th of these 12 children. He settled with his wife, Lula Hutcherson east of Panola County, in Senetobia, (Tunica County) Mississippi. Wesley and Lula left Senatobia and crossed the Mississippi river into Arkansas in search of a better life. The family eventually settled in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. Together Wesley and Lula had 14 children who we today know as our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents: Queen, Marie, Azie Lee, Luella, Joe Lee, Harold (Willie), Jean, Lillie Bea, Ulicus, and Chris.
